Wednesday, June 30

Depart Barbados by BA2154 at 4:40pm.

Thursday, July 01

Arrive London (Gatwick) at 5:50am. Transfer by coach to Heathrow Hilton. Leave Hotel at 4:00pm for departure on flight BA059 at 7:25pm to Cape Town.

Friday, July 02

Arrive Cape Town at 8:50am. We are met by tour guide Achim and transferred to the Holiday Inn Waterfront Hotel in Cape Town to recuperate from our long journey. In the afternoon depart for an orientation Tour through the historic City of Cape Town. Our tour takes us up the Table-Mountain for a bird's eye view over the most beautiful city in Africa. Drive up to Signal Hill to welcome the wonderful Mother City of South Africa with a glass of Champagne / Fruit juice. Return to the Holiday Inn Waterfront-Cape Town. Dinner included.

Saturday, July 03

Breakfast - Today we walk to the Nelson Mandela Gateway and take a shuttle across the Atlantic Ocean to visit the “World Cultural Heritage Site”-Robben Island. It was here where Nelson Mandela was incarcerated for a period of 18 Years. Return to the Waterfront at lunch time.

Afternoon at your leisure to take in the a quarter final match of the FIFA Football World Cup 2010 at the Greenpoint Stadium.

Sunday, July 04

Breakfast - Leave the hotel for a full day tour to the Cape of Good Hope - Cape Point, where the Indian and Atlantic Oceans have their rendezvous, along the Cape Peninsula or Atlantic coastline. We visit en route, the penguin colony at the boulders; a boat ride at Houtbay to see a colony of Cape fur seals. Next a drive up Chapmans Peak (the most scenic drive on this tour), for a beautiful view of Houtbay. Later we visit the biggest semi precious stone factory in the world. Lunch at the Two Oceans / Black Marlin restaurant (own expense). Return to the Holiday Inn Waterfront via Cecil John Rhodes drive.

Monday, July 05

Breakfast - Today we drive through the traditional township of the African people - Khayelitsha. Here we will have an opportunity to interact with them and see first hand some of the projects being considered for the upliftment of the local community. Afterwards we continue on to visit Stellenbosch, the most beautiful city in South Africa with its Victorian and Cape Dutch architecture. Our tour includes a visit to a Cheetah breeding camp at the Spier Wine Estate.

Return to our hotel at 5:30pm.

Tuesday, July 06

Breakfast - Depart for the Football semi-final at the Greenpoint Stadium in Cape Town.

Wednesday, July 07

Breakfast - Leave Cape Town via Somerset West, Strand and along the “Riviera of the Cape” Hermanus - The Whale Mecca of the World; the best land based whale spotting in the world - Mosselbay. It is here that the first European Explorer - Bartholomew Dias, went ashore on a historical tour through the town. Overnight at Hotel in the Wilderness, which is located along the shores of the Indian Ocean. Dinner is included.

Thursday, July 08

Breakfast - We journey over the Outeniquia Mountains to the Klein Karoo to Oudtshoorn, the Ostrich mecca of South Africa, for a tour through the Safari Show Ranch and a ride on the fastest animal on two legs. Lunch at the Ostrich Farm includes their speciality - Ostrich Steaks. Visit the Cango Caves (optional), the most beautiful stalactite, stalagmite and dripstone caves in the world. The Cheetah/Crocodile Ranch - (optional).

Return to our hotel.

Friday, July 09

Breakfast - Depart for an unforgettable ride over five lakes, five rivers, two estuaries through the Wilderness to Knysna (if the Outeniqua Choo Tjoe is operating). Visit the Garden of Eden, continue our journey to Plettenberg Bay, the “Pearl of the Garden Route”, check for dolphins in the Bay - then continue through Nature’s Valley into the Tsitsikamma Rain Forest. Here we will see some of the giants of the forest - the Big Yellow Wood trees. Check out the World Record Bungee Jump at the Bloukrans River Bridge. Our journey continues along the shores of the Indian Ocean towards Port Elizabeth. We overnight in the Courtyard/Paxton Hotel, overlooking the Indian Ocean. Dinner is at our own expense.

Saturday, July 10

Early morning departure to the Addo Elephant National Park. The Wildlife Sanctuary that prides itself of having the densest population of elephants anywhere in the World. It is situated between Port Elizabeth and Grahamstown. Enjoy a day in this unique “Big Five African Bush”.

In the afternoon we travel back to Port Elizabeth. (Optional) - Enjoy the Games at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium for the Playoff for the 3rd place in the FIFA Football WorldCup 2010. Return to our hotel.

Sunday, July 11

Early flight from Port Elizabeth to Johannesburg’s Oliver Tambo Int’l airport and transfer to Sandton to our hotel.

Monday, July 12

Breakfast - We depart our hotel enroute through the commercial capital of Africa - the city of gold “Egoli”. We continue on to Soweto, the biggest settlement of indigenous people of South Africa. Our journey includes a visit to Nelson Mandela’s former home and the only street in the world where two Nobel Prize winners lived. Lunch at Wandies. We journey to Sun City/Lost City and Pilanesberg National Park, staying for two nights in Pilanesberg - Kwa Maritane - Place of the Rock / Bakubung - Place of the Hippo in Pilanesberg National Park. A big five wildlife sanctuary recreated in the fashion of Genesis in the Year 1979.

Tuesday, July 13

Early Pre-dawn game drive through the “Big Five” Wilderness created on an extinct Volcano, in search of the most unusual animals like - the Rhino, Elephant, Lion, Buffalo and Leopard and, perhaps the elusive Cheetah.

We relax in the afternoon and then later indulge in a typical African feast, a traditional “Braai” (BBQ) around the fire in the evening. We overnight at the same lodge.

Wednesday, July 14

Breakfast. This morning, we say goodbye to the wilderness and leave the a Park at 11:00am enroute to our hotel in Sandton, arrive at 2:00pm. Afternoon at leisure.

Thursday, July 15

Breakfast - Day at Leisure, perhaps do a little last minute shopping in the most famous shopping centre of the region. 6:00pm transfer to Johannesburg International Airport. Depart by BA54 at 9:25pm for London.

Friday, July 16

Arrive Heathrow/London at 6:35am and transfer by coach to Gatwick Airport. Depart by BA2155 at 11:00am. Arrive Barbados at 3:50pm.
